1. Vortex flowmeter | Several factors affecting accuracy
The factors affecting the accuracy of vortex flowmeters mainly include the following: Saturated steam dryness: When measuring saturated steam with a vortex flowmeter, its dryness is required to be no less than 85%. In actual working conditions, the dryness of saturated steam in the boiler is already below 100%, which may further decrease to below 85% after pipeline transmission, resulting in a decrease in measurement accuracy. Measuring pipeline flow velocity: Uneven flow velocity or fluid distribution inside the pipeline can cause measurement errors. For example, solid particles carried in gas may form sediments, and non streamlined objects may be corroded by corrosion chambers, requiring the installation of filters in front of pipelines. When there is liquid carried in the gas or liquid sediment in the pipeline, a liquid removal device needs to be installed before the inlet of the flowmeter. For media that are prone to liquid deposition due to seasonal temperature, it is necessary to increase the dew point value through a heat tracing system to prevent liquid precipitation. Measuring pipeline vibration: The vibration of equipment or pipelines can interfere with the measurement accuracy of vortex flowmeters. When installing, try to avoid vibration sources as much as possible. If it is necessary to install in a vibrating environment, anti vibration brackets should be installed in front and behind the instrument to reduce the impact. Vortex generation body contamination in flow meters: Dirt or entanglement in the medium may alter the geometric dimensions of the vortex generation body, causing changes in the flow coefficient and affecting measurement accur
